NEWAsia successfully delivered a one-day workshop on “Supplier CSR Annual Refreshment” on 9th September 2015 in Shanghai for a leading brand’s 100 suppliers and agents, which is NEWAsia’s 4th Annual Conference for the suppliers and agents.
The objective of this workshop was to enhance the competency and offer insights into:
- Solutions and practice to the emerging CSR challenges and difficulties
- Brand’s strategy and dimensions
- Legal permits management
- Fire risk prevention and safety management
- Chemical safety management
- Electrical and machine safety management
- Case studies
Ms. Amanda Xu, Operations Director of NEWAsia moderated the first part and shared the insights of top CSR violations and updates on labour practice in China.
Mr. Asia Wang, Managing Director of NEWAsia Solutions, moderated the following training on OHS topics, with the focuses on enhancement and best practices on OHS management system, chemical safety, electric safety, as well as machine safety. During the workshop, Mr. Asia Wang emphasized that addressing OHS issues is key challenges facing businesses in today’s competitive and complex marketplace. The safe and healthy workplace in factory is also a productive workplace and can have financial benefits from it. It was also helpful for effective supply chain management in a comprehensive and interactive way.
All participants showed a great interest in the topics and participated proactively in the interactive exchange and in-depth discussion on promoting CSR practice in supply chain management. And expect a new CSR training provided by NEWAsia in the upcoming year.
