1st SCM Training for Dutch Business in China

On 25th May 2015, the first training seminar of the Consulate General of Netherland Three-Year CSR Project was held in Ningbo, which assembled more than 40 representatives from the local authorities, Dutch companies and local enterprises.

The opening remarks were provided by Mr. David Naves, the Deputy Consul-General, and Dr. Xiaohui Liang, chief researcher of the China National Textile and Apparel Council. Mr. Asia Wang, Managing Director of NEWAsia Solutions Limited, was invited to deliver and facilitate a half-day training on Working Hours Management, focusing on the legal requirements, major violations and challenges, best practice and solutions. “Working hour compliance bottom-line is one of the most struggling issues in the supply chain.” Mr. Wang mentioned. “All the stakeholders, including brands, investors, workers, experts, NGOS, and authorities may work together for transparency and continuous improvement.” Through case studies and group exercises, the participants had been actively engaged in figuring out root causes and solutions for raising the bottom line of working hours. All participants showed great interest in the topics and were satisfied with the workshop achievements.
